We must explain to you how all seds this mistakens idea off denouncing pleasures and praising pain was born and I will give you a completed accounts off the system and expound the actually teaching.

I’m Carlos and I’m totally devoted to my own pets and yours. I have always been surrounded by animals and have loved and love all my pets, goldfish & hamsters too, but I discovered at around age ten that I was severely allergic to cats, and sadly this hasn’t changed. My nephew Carl, is the ‘Cat Man’ of the family and therefore I was deemed to a life with dogs.
I have a number of dogs, of all whom have very different personalities which makes them all unique in their own way and very much loved members of the family.
I also show & judge dogs at a professional level and have won, with my dogs various awards, including over the last twenty years numerous placings at Crufts. However, they are first and foremost very much loved family pets & members of the family.
Some years ago I used to run a successful dog & cat Grooming Salon in South Wales for but was forced to give up due to my severe arthritis which was making my job physically difficult and very painful. I miss seeing the dogs and cats very much. It was after this that I decided to set up a much needed Pet Cremation Service in Cardiff.
After losing many of my own different pets over the years it always seemed a difficult decision to try to find somewhere that I felt I could trust, that would take good care of my pet and also was difficult to know or trust if it was my own pets ashes that I actually got back. Since beginning this journey and now providing this kind of service, I now suspect that not all of my pets ashes are ‘just’ my pet’s ashes and this has upset me so much for so very long has spurred me in to offering a better service than what I feel I received at the time and knew that I could do better, much better! And so with that, I vowed to set up my own Pet Cremation in South Wales one day and so here we are now, ‘SunnyVale Pet Cremation Cardiff’.
I love all of my dogs with all of my heart and understand the utter heartache and feelings of complete loss when we lose one of our beloved pets. I also understand and will help you with the stages of grief, from the first feelings of devastation and loss, then the second stage; blame (either looking for blame i.e. the vet or questioning ourselves if we could have done more to prevent the death of our pet), then it can jump back to the devastation and feeling of utter and complete loss once again! This is a natural grieving process that we go through and is understandable because we loved our pet so much. If you have recently lost your pet, do give us a call on 07587 105 358 . We can support you every step of the way with the cremation of your much loved pet.
We can collect your pet from your home or from your veterinary surgery and will return your pet’s ashes back to you at your convenience. We aim to have your pet’s ashes back to you within 2 – 3 days.
PRIVATE CREMATION - WORDING EXPLAINED:
Please be assured that ‘Private Cremation’ means ‘Private’ and it will only ever be ‘Your’ pet, no other and the ashes you receive back will only ever be ‘Your’ pet’s ashes.
Education:
Previously, we ourselves also had assumed and believed that what we saw advertised at other cremation facilities stating ‘Individual’ (a word I have also used to offer a lone ‘Private Cremation’ myself, not realising ) we honestly believed that it meant that the pet would be cremated in it’s own chamber, by it self, with no other pets or animals. However, we have since discovered this is not the case. It seems that when advertised as ‘Individual’, this can mean your pet is place in to a large machine / chamber with many other animals/pets, with just a small metal block between all the animals/pets, thus not being a Private Cremation of just your beloved pet at all.
*Therefore, please do be careful and check the ‘wording’ when you hire a Cremation Service for your much loved pet, because if you state that you require ‘Individual’ it is likely they will be placed with other animals/pets.
*Please do be sure to state that if it is just your own Pet you want cremated by itself, then please do be sure to say you require a ‘Private Cremation’.
*If you do not mind your pet being cremated in the same machine with other pets, then it is called an ‘Individual Cremation’.
*People get confused by these two very similar sounding words, but quite different in the world of Cremation.
Individual Cremation & Private Cremation Differences:
With ‘Individual Cremation’; when the cremation is taking place, with the high temperatures needed to be reached, the ash will fly and float around in the air, even when small steel long block dividers are used. So when some company’s state that you can be assured you get 100% your pet ashes back, they simply cannot be at all. I mean, where does all that flying around ash fall?
Therefore, when a company or person states that it is ‘Individual’, it may not be just all of your pet’s ashes, but a mixture of any other pets that were in the same machine as your pet.
** As previously mentioned, we only do what we now call ‘Private Cremation’s **
This information is to help educate anyone who is not aware of the correct wording or terms used, as I myself have only recently discovered this different meaning of the two words that are used and I believe it is important to let people know and to try to help people understand so that they do not get scammed by any company providing a similar service.
We Do Not! have any contracts with any vets and are 100% Independently family owned so that we can deliver a more personal service, aiming to return your pet’s ashes back to you within 2 – 3 days unlike most vets who usually take around 2 – 3 Weeks, and of which may be based on Individual Cremation and possibly not a Private Cremation. *Therefore, again, do be sure to ask your service provider.

Thank you so much to Carlos for looking after our beautiful furbaby Oscar at the end, treating hum with the love and diginity he deserved. Very compassionate and caring people. Nothing was too much trouble. Carlos totally understood the depth of grief and was so considerate to my emotions. What I particularly liked was when I initially made contact, I was asked the breed and not the weight of my dog.
Cant say enough about how wonderful SunnyVale Pet Cremation Cardiff is and I would higjly reccomend them. They were so caring and so sympthatic in what was a very upsetting time. Can't thank them enough for their kindness and care.
The loss of a pet affects many people in a myriad ways, and often times people who are grieving may not know where to turn for advice and support. There are, however, a number of resources specifically designed to help you cope with your loss.
At SunnyVale Pet Cremation Cardif, we support Compassion Understood both as a resource provider for clear, reliable information about our pet's end-of-life and as an essential training partner for the veterinary industry. For pet parents they aim to:
The site content has been written by veterinary professionals and pet loss experts, with contributions from many working in the field of pet loss support. www.compassionunderstood.com
It can sometimes help to share your feelings with someone who knows from personal experience how distressing the loss of a pet can be, and who will listen with compassion and without judgement.
The Blue Cross charity runs a Pet Bereavement Support Service which can be contacted on 0800 096 6606 (UK only including Northern Ireland). The support line is open from 8.30am - 8.30pm every day.
All calls are free and confidential from a UK landline. If calling from a mobile phone, some phone networks may charge. Alternatively, you can also email the Pet Bereavement Support Service on pbssmail@bluecross.org.uk.
Further support is available on the Blue Cross PBSS site.
If you’re experiencing pet-related grief you can call their free and confidential phone line to talk to one of their volunteer listeners. The team of trained volunteers offer emotional and practical support to owners experiencing the loss of a cat. While they are unable to offer counselling, the team provides a supportive ear to callers struggling to cope with pet-related grief as well as providing information about topics such as euthanasia, burial and cremation. The line is open between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, on Freephone 0800 024 94 94. Further information about Cats Protection’s grief and loss support work can be found on the national website: www.cats.org.uk/grief
The Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement, based in the US, along with The Ralph Site which is based in the UK, both run Pet Loss Forums where you can connect with other pet owners who are experiencing similar emotions to you.
There are many special Pet Loss trained counsellors. You can find some of these on the Ralph site and also within the Counselling Directory.
Please Note: We haven’t ‘vetted’ any of these, and we are not directly endorsing their services. It’s best to carry out further research and if possible speak to them and ask for references before you enter into any counselling agreement.
If you feel that you are not coping with your day-to-day life and feel that you need additional help then we urge you to seek help from your doctor or from the Samaritans who are available around the clock, 365 days a year.
